Throughout the history of the Lisio Silk Art Foundation two important milestones were celebrated
and remembered with two commemorative volumes: the 50th birthday of Fidalma Lisio (1906-1956) who had recently taken over the reins of the business founded by her father Giuseppe, and the 100th anniversary of the Lisio Foundation (1906-2006) as the only “heir” of Fidalma who passed away a few years ago.

Today, with this publication, we want to honour another significant milestone: the celebration of 50 years since the establishment of the Lisio Silk Art Foundation3 created through the efforts and desire of Fidalma in 1971.

We proudly celebrate her consistent and lasting devotion to the “mission” that marked the birth of a surprising and unique institution whose activities today are still carried out with the unchanged commitment of employees, collaborators and those who have guided and continue to guide its destiny.
