Cataloguing criteria, the C.I.E.T.A. card. Basic weaves and their derivatives, cloth and taffetas, twill; satins. Combined weaves: baiadera, pekin. Double-faced weaves and double cloth. Gauzes. Decorative effects caused by floats in the warp or weft. Cloth with a double weft: faille, cannelé, poil trainant, mexicaine. Plain, cut and uncut velvets. Second Stage: patterned cloth56-hour course The loom for patterned cloth, the drawloom and Jacquard loom. Weft effects: liseré, lancé and brocaded. Lampases with one or two pattern wefts.
